Stephen Catto, Ph.D – Managing Director

Stephen has grown Broadshade Group from an agricultural business in the 1990s to the successful property development and investment company it is today.  Stephen’s role is to drive the long-term strategy and growth of Broadshade, as well as fostering integrity in every aspect of the business. Stephen is also an adjunct professor in the Business School of Biola University, California.

Louise Leat BSc (Hons) MRICS – Property Portfolio Manager

Louise Leat is a Chartered Surveyor with over 25 years’ experience in the commercial and residential property development and investment markets. She started her career in London with Weatherall Green and Smith (now BNP Paribas Real Estate), before moving to Savills’ Commercial Investment Department shortly after qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor. Following many successful years with Savills, she then became a Director of Ash Mill Developments Ltd with responsibility for residential development in the East Midlands. A move southwards prompted a return to her commercial roots as a Partner of Quantum Commercial LLP, based in Bournemouth. In 2012 she set up her own business to advise private investors and developed a strong relationship with Broadshade, ultimately resulting in her joining the business as Portfolio Manager, responsible for investment acquisitions and asset management.

Scott Catto – Director

Scott recently graduated with a B.S in Physics. Working for Broadshade Investments LLC, his focus is identifying and bringing forward potential early-stage investments in companies with excellent management and high growth potential.  So far this year, two companies have been added to the portfolio, one at a very early stage, Everydae®, the other as part of a Series ‘D’ round in HappyMoney®.

Claire Light – Administrator

Claire Light joined the Broadshade Group after 11 years working in Estate Agency in Dorset. Prior to that she worked in London as an Administrator for Marks and Spencer in their Buying Departments. Claire is based in the Ferndown office, supporting the team and looking after the day-to-day administration of the business.
