Westhill, Aberdeen.

Broadshade’s careful and patient approach to investment can be seen in the development of agricultural land owned in Westhill on the outskirts of Aberdeen.  Promotion of the site as an area for residential development took place over a number of years, and included negotiations over the relocation of a main high-pressure gas pipeline, which ran through the middle of the site. Working with a national building company, Broadshade obtained planning consent for 250 homes in 2009.  Subsequently, a second phase of development, covering 20 acres, released another 190 houses.  This phase was completed in 2017, and the company retains a further 20 acres for future development.
